Muddy Brook Farm Equestrian Show Teams

Our Show Teams are comprised of riders which represent our farm at in-house and away horse shows. These students have indicated an interest in showing, and are riding at a level to show successfully. They exhibit the commitment, horsemanship skills, and attitude that exemplify Muddy Brook Farm. As part of the show team, these riders have agreed to put in the time, hard work, and dedication towards the team.

The Middle School and High School IEA Teams are just as enthusiastic and determined. Since 2014, Muddy Brook has successfully qualified riders for Regional Semi-Finals, Zone 1 Finals and the IEA National Finals competition. They have competed against other top riders from around the country, and held their own by placing in the top 5 each year. Our motto is "Team work makes the dream work!"

What is IEA?
The Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) was organized to promote and improve the quality of equestrian competition and instruction available to middle and secondary school students. The IEA format requires that riders compete in unfamiliar tack on unfamiliar mounts; therefore, each rider draws a horse the day of competition and enters the show arena with small opportunity to familiarize themselves with their mount. Riders do not have to own a horse to compete. Horses are provided by the show host(s).
